Sunday School Classes

Nursery next to the back door, ages birth through four.

Preschool Class at the far end of the downstairs hallway, ages three, four, & five. “We explore the Bible and focus on God’s care for us through stories and activities that are explained at a level that 3-5 year old children can understand. Through these Interactive stories and activities, we help them learn that everyone is a child of God. In this class, children also learn about the Bible as the special book that tells us about God and God’s love. We have great fun while learning through praise, stories, activities and games with a focus that we should thank God for our world. We welcome the opportunity to work with your child helping them to grow in their faith and teaching them that we can count on God to always be there watching over us and loving us. It is our hope that the children enjoy these activities, songs, and stories and will look forward to coming to Sunday School as much as we look forward to learning and growing in faith together with the children.”

Elementary I & II next to the Nursery, first and second grades. Each week there will be a Bible story time, a time of worship, and a time to learn how to live out the Bible message in our everyday lives. Each lesson also includes activities and games.

Elementary III, IV & V at the far end of the downstairs hallway on the right, third, fourth, and fifth grades.

Junior High at the far end of the upstairs hallway, sixth, seventh, and eighth grades.

Senior High and College at the far end of the upstairs hallway on the right, ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grades.

Fellowship Class held in the chapel upstairs, adults. “As the class name implies, we come together on Sunday mornings to fellowship and to study God’s word. The class is made up of members who range in age from the low 70’s to around 90. The average weekly attendance is approximately fifteen out of a total membership of twenty-five. Our study period is very informal where discussion is encouraged. At times, we do wander away from the main topic. However, we’re able to get back on track in a short period of time. There are three teachers Involved in leading the study periods - each teaches two periods out of every six weeks. We welcome visitors and new members with open arms.”

Jim Hewgley Class downstairs close to the stairs, adults. “This class, with an average attendance of twenty-five, has four excellent teachers. The class has always responded to any project or individual need. The class has several socials each year - usually a picnic and a Christmas party.”

Amazing Grace Class downstairs next to the stairwell, adults of varying ages. This class is concentrating on Bible study by working our way through the Old Testament one book at a time.

McIntyre/Taylor Class downstairs next to the kitchen, adults.
